Fundraising to mark the 75th anniversary of the NHS

This year marks 75 years of the NHS. To celebrate this remarkable anniversary, we are inviting supporters to fundraise in their local community or workplace in one of the two following ways.

NHS Big Tea Host a tea party with friends, family, colleagues or neighbours and invite them to make a donation to Whittington Health Charity in return. Or go all out and organise a Summer garden party! If you’d prefer to do something smaller, you can hold a bake sale, a bake-off competition or simply a competition to guess the weight of a homemade cake.

1000 Mile Challenge Challenge yourself or your team to complete 1000 miles by walking, cycling, running, swimming, or a combination of all four! You can decide what timeframe you’d like to complete your challenge within. For example, if your challenge was from June to December, you’d need to complete 5.5 miles per day. Set up a Just Giving page and invite your friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you. We’ll even throw in a free T shirt to get you started!

If you have any questions about the NHS 75th anniversary fundraising activities, please get in touch with the Charity fundraising team at fundraising.whitthealth@nhs.net.

We’d love to hear from you and we’re happy to help!
